CHAKRAS + FEELINGS — Restoring Energetic Flow
Emotions are not just physical; they also have a profound connection to our energetic body, which includes our chakras and meridians. Each emotion resonates with specific energy centers, and when these emotions are stored in the body, they can disrupt the flow of energy, leading to both physical and emotional imbalances.
Stress and Anxiety: These emotions often block the flow of energy in the throat chakra (associated with communication and expression) and the solar plexus chakra (connected to personal power and self-esteem). Blockages here can cause difficulty in expressing oneself, feeling powerless, or experiencing digestive issues.
Anger: Anger is closely related to the solar plexus chakra and the heart chakra. When anger is stored, it can create blockages that lead to feelings of bitterness, resentment, and a sense of disconnection from others. This can manifest as heart problems, circulatory issues, or a lack of compassion and empathy.
Sadness and Grief: These emotions are strongly tied to the heart chakra and the sacral chakra (linked to emotions and creativity). Blockages in the heart chakra can cause emotional numbness, difficulty in forming close relationships, or a lack of joy. In the sacral chakra, grief can stifle creativity, leading to feelings of emptiness or sexual dysfunction.
Fear: Fear primarily affects the root chakra, which is associated with safety, security, and grounding. When fear is stored, it can block the flow of energy, leading to feelings of instability, insecurity, and chronic anxiety. Physically, this may manifest as lower back pain, hip stiffness, or issues with the legs and feet.
These energetic blockages not only affect the physical body but can also keep us stuck in negative emotional patterns. They create a feedback loop where the blocked energy reinforces the emotional state, making it harder to release. Over time, this can lead to a weakened energetic body, making us more susceptible to physical illness, emotional instability, and spiritual disconnection.
Clearing these blockages through practices like Emotional Freedom Techniques, Bowen Therapy, Reiki, acupuncture, chakra balancing, or energy healing can help restore the flow of energy, release stored emotions, and bring harmony to the mind, body, and spirit. This energetic realignment promotes healing on all levels, leading to a more balanced and fulfilled life.
Tapping Script: Allowing the Body to Soften
Setup Statements (say each three times while tapping the side of your hand):
Even though I’m noticing sensations or emotions in my body, I choose to love and accept myself.
Even though some of this may feel uncomfortable or unclear, I choose to honour and respect myself.
Even though I might not know what to do with all of this, I’m open to the idea that it’s okay to soften, even if only by 1%, if that feels safe.
Tapping Script Body:
There’s emotion moving in my body…
I may not know where it’s coming from,
or what it’s trying to tell me…
and that’s okay.
I don’t have to label this as bad or wrong.
I don’t need to fix it or make it go away.
I can simply notice what’s here.
Maybe there’s tension in my chest,
a heaviness in my throat,
a flutter in my belly,
or a dull ache somewhere deep inside.
It’s okay.
My body is speaking,
and I’m just listening.
I can let my awareness rest where I feel it most.
No judgment.
No pressure to do anything about it.
Just noticing.
As I breathe,
I can imagine softening the edges around this feeling —
just a little.
Maybe only 1%.
Just enough to bring a tiny bit of ease,
if that feels safe.
I don’t have to release it all at once.
I don’t have to heal it completely right now.
My body knows its own pace.
My energy knows how to flow again,
when it’s ready.
These feelings might be energy that’s been waiting —
waiting to be acknowledged,
waiting to be met with compassion.
And as I breathe into this awareness,
something inside begins to loosen.
Not forced, not pushed —
just gently unwinding.
I give myself permission to not know what comes next.
To trust that this moment of softening is enough.
That acknowledging what’s here is already healing.
Every breath I take reminds my body that it’s safe.
Every exhale helps release a little of what I’ve been holding.
I don’t have to do this perfectly.
I just show up —
present, kind, and open.
Even if I only soften by 1%,
that’s still movement.
That’s still healing.
And it’s enough for now.
Closing Round:
I’m allowing my energy to flow again — gently, naturally, without force.
I don’t need to fix, chase, or control anything.
I’m honouring my body, my emotions, and my energy —
trusting that each small moment of awareness
creates space for balance and harmony to return.
