BAKED APPLES — Transform Body Dampness
Apples have been cherished for centuries not just as a sweet fruit, but as a symbol of health and longevity. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, apples are mildly warming and support the Spleen, helping the body transform dampness—a condition that can arise from cold, raw, or heavy foods, sluggish digestion, seasonal changes, stress, or stagnant emotions such as grief or worry. In Ayurveda, dampness is associated with excess Kapha, which can be aggravated by holding onto emotions, lethargy, or mental heaviness. Apples provide gentle sweetness without heaviness, while warming spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger bring comfort, clarity, and energy flow, making baked apples a nurturing remedy for cooler seasons, sluggish digestion, and emotional stagnation.
