Aftercare Tips

  • Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated

  • Take a daily 30-minute walk or gentle swim

  • Avoid other hands-on therapies during your Bowen series

  • Avoid extremes of heat or cold (like hot tubs or ice packs)

  • Don’t sit for extended periods—take breaks to move

  • For athletes, limit intensity and avoid overworking treated areas

Moving Forward

To maximize the benefits of Bowen Therapy, it's best practice to begin with three sessions within a 30-day period, ideally spaced 5 to 10 days apart. This approach allows your body to initiate and integrate the changes prompted by the therapy.

After the third session, we'll assess your progress. If further sessions are beneficial, they are typically scheduled every two weeks to maintain momentum and support continued improvement.

Most individuals experience significant relief within 3 to 5 sessions. However, chronic or complex conditions may require a longer treatment plan, tailored to your specific needs.

That said, life can be unpredictable, and it's not always possible to adhere strictly to this schedule. If you're unable to follow the recommended timing, it's still beneficial to commence therapy. Bowen Therapy can initiate the body's natural balancing processes, even if sessions are spaced differently. The key is to begin when you're ready, and we'll adjust the plan to suit your circumstances.
